About: Greater Columbus Convention Center
The 1.7-million square-foot SMG-managed Greater Columbus Convention Center is located near the southern boundary of the vibrant Short North Arts District. As the winner of multiple Prime Site and Inner Circle Awards, this striking, modern facility has become one of North America’s most popular sites for local, state, regional, and national groups and organizations and is adding an 800-space Goodale Garage and preparing for a $125 million expansion and full facility renovation. The venue is owned and developed by the Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority.
Offering flexible space that can be adapted for events of all sizes, the GCCC includes 74,000-square-foot Battelle Grand, the largest, multipurpose ballroom in the state of Ohio. Battelle Grand includes an expansive view of downtown Columbus and a high-tech ceiling system, which provides an array of customized lighting options. The GCCC includes 65 meeting rooms, the 25,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom, 15,000-square-foot Terrace Ballroom and 410,000 square feet of exhibit space. Ample parking is available and the convention center is connected to five hotels by enclosed walkway. In addition to exclusive caterer Centerplate, the GCCC includes a convenient Food Court & Shops retail area, featuring a variety of quick-service dining options, unique shops and exhibitor service providers.
