Columbus Moving Company celebrates the musical triumph of David Bowie, in collaboration with their founding members’ mentor Kristina Isabelle, through directed modern dance improvisation in their latest evening length work, WE. A tribe of seven dancers explore the abstract implications of gender, sexuality, community, and identity among shifting sound scapes by the late great musical icon, in an attempt to discover the essence of what it means to be human; what makes us “we the people”; and what makes us one. Columbus Moving Company’s WE will be presented at the Garden Theater on April 28 at 8pm and April 29 at 3pm & 8pm – tickets on sale at www.shortnorthstage.org, $15.
