Walks and Talks: Bees and Beekeeping at Goodale Park

6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Categories

Come learn more about Honeybees and Beekeeping…whether you would like to keep bees for yourself, to volunteer to help others with bees, or simply want to find out more about our natural environment, this is the talk for you.

Speakers Jody Croley Jones and her husband Mike Jones have been active suburban beekeepers for over nine years. They have two apiaries of their own and are Beekeeping Mentors for the Columbus Metro Parks. As Swarm Rescuers, they place swarms into the Metro Parks and mentor volunteers in their care. They provide Bee and Beekeeping educational programming for the Metro Parks and for bee clubs and other local organizations.

Meet at the Caretaker’s Residence in the Center of the Park. Talks begin at 7:00pm, except for the Fall Tree Tour. You are welcome to come at 6:30pm to enjoy refreshments provided by At Home by High.
