What began in October 1984 as the first cooperative opening among galleries and arts groups in the burgeoning Short North Arts District evolved into Gallery Hop. The monthly event became an instant success, spawning the revitalization of the neighborhood with a sharp focus on Columbus’ creative community.
In commemoration of Gallery Hop’s enduring place in Columbus’ identity, the Short North Arts District has launched the Start with Art campaign, which celebrates the hundreds of incredible and diverse arts experiences found in the neighborhood. Start with Art honors the history of the neighborhood as an arts district, and reinforce the creative experiences that visitors can engage in throughout the District beyond Gallery Hop.
Helping to celebrate Gallery Hop’s 30th Anniversary, local apparel company Homage has designed limited-edition tees featuring a throwback Short North Arts District logo that includes the iconic sideways Mona Lisa mural on N. Pearl Street.
All proceeds from the shirt sales go towards arts programming in the District.
The charcoal grey tees come in sizes XS-L and are $35. Tees are available for in-person pickup or by mail (shipping is $5).
