Joseph Editions will feature Kurt Lightner, Homestead from July 7 through August 27. Collector preview is on Thursday, July 7 from 5:00-7:00pm and the reception with artist is on Friday, July 22 from 5:00-8:00pm.

Homestead is Kurt Lightner’s first exhibition in Columbus in 5 years. This body of work is a doubly meaningful return for the artist ­- a return to painting and a return to his roots as he looks back on the landscape of his childhood. Carefully constructed out of seemingly floating forms and non­-objective color, these are hauntingly beautiful portraits of pastoral life.

pm gallery will feature Hummers, photographs by Richard Northrup. Richard began photographing hummingbirds in his Clintonville backyard in 2011. The images are printed on handmade paper, photographic paper or, in a unique series, on re­-claimed metal sheet. All of the printing is done by Richard in his home. He designs the backdrops and the lighting.

Rivet will feature Chasing Ghosts -­ The Art of Macsorro from July 2 through July 31 with an opening reception on July 2 from 7:00­10:00pm. “To chase the ghosts of dreams, loved and the heart is a fools way to live,” the artist said in a statement. “But a life worth living is not free of ghosts.”

ROY G BIV Gallery presents work by Kate Ball and Rachel Yurkovich. Ball’s stop-­motion animations explore the complexities of human­-animal interactions. Yurkovich’s videos of living things depict instances of uninhibited consumption. The work of both artists is on display July 2–30 with an opening reception on Saturday, July 2, from 7:00–10:00pm and an artists’ talks and closing on Saturday, July 30, at 2:30pm.

Sean Christopher Gallery Ohio will feature AD ASTRA: To the Stars by Jes Moore with a Gallery Hop opening on July 2 from 6:00-­10:00pm. The exhibit will run until August 27. Jes Moore is a mixed media Columbus artist who graduated with a BFA in Fine Arts in 2015 from Ohio Dominican University.

The Pizzuti Collection is thrilled to announce that two of their signature events, the Family Day Series and Pacesetters After Hours will now occur on the same day as Gallery Hop.

From 11:00am­-5:00pm enjoy Family Day Series with complimentary admission with guided tours at 11:30am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm along with art­inspired scavenger hunt and sketchbooks for students. The Shazzbots will perform at 11:00am and an appearance by the Amazing Giants will be from 4:00-­5:00pm. Pacesetters After Hours will be from 6:00-­8:00pm with complimentary admission  with cocktails and specialty brews and music from DJ Patrick. Pacesetters is a 21 and over event.

Danceville, U.S.A. will have an open house event, inviting anyone to come visit the studio space, hear more about Danceville, U.S.A. and sign up for dance lessons. Danceville, U.S.A. will also be featuring artwork from Pago Pago, American Samoa by Regina Meredith Fitiao and Su’a Wilson Fitiao. The exhibit is entitled SIVA Ina Ia MAGAIA le KAKOU ASO: DANCE to make the day BEAUTIFUL. Artwork will be on display and for sale. Regina and Su’a will also be on location working on artwork at Gallery Hop.

Denmark on High will feature the work of Soutchay Soungpradith. Along with traditional painting, he continues to create original songs and performs live with his current band, Dead Mans Dew. He now resides with his wife and two daughters in Westerville, Ohio.

First Commonwealth Bank (647 N. High Street) will feature digital photographer Nina de l’Etoile for July’s Gallery Hop and through the end of July. Recently Nina has been experimenting with double exposure, manipulations and blended photographs. Flowers and butterflies are some of her main subjects. The artist will greet guests at the July Gallery Hop from 6:00-9:00pm. Light refreshments will be served.

House Beer will feature Jon Garrett Kitzmiller, a photographer and a woodworker. The show Mirrors, Humbled showcases his love of both the wilderness his love of creating using the eye and hand.
