It's no secret that the Short North is best enjoyed at night. After all, that's when your inner freak comes out, right? If you haven't partaken in the fun yet, what are you waiting for? We're not just for the weekend crowd. You'll find fun here every night of the week.
Happy hours are always abound. You can check out our listings here.
Into games? For a little activity, check out the Spring and Summer cornhole competitions hosted by Brother's Bar & Grill. Billiards buffs, try your hand at the Gaswerks, Havana, or St. James Tavern tables. You can also test your aim at one of the Short North Tavern's dart tournaments.
Would you rather watch sports than play them? If so, Bar Louie’s a great place to hang. MoJoe Lounge also offers two big screen televisions and you can catch airings from the Big Ten Network there.
Love to dance? For those of you who need to get foot loose and fancy free, check out the floor at Axis, Havana, Liquid, Skully's Music Diner, Spice Bar, Sugar Bar, or the Surly Girl Saloon, all of which frequently supply DJs who will make you sweat your work woes away.
Liven things up with live music. Weekends come alive at East Village Café. For jazz, stop by MoJoe Lounge on a Thursday night. Skully's offers various bands each Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. And the Short North Tavern has a new group every Saturday. Surly, Liquid, and Axis often book performances as well. Heck, you might even find the wait staff doing a little impromptu routine at Liquid.
Drag queens and drag queen fanatics, swoop in for a shot at Axis where shows are hosted every Friday and Saturday.
Ladies, you'll find special treatment every Thursday at Skully's. In the Columbus Alive reader's poll, you voted them "Best Ladies' Night" five years in a row.
Need a laugh? Surly Girl hosts Open Mic Nights each Wednesday starting at 10p.
If Surly Girl can't tickle your funny bone, maybe you can entertain the crowd with your own singing. Havana offers Karaoke Wednesday nights beginning at 10p.
And if you need to repent after your long week of late-night sinning, go to Havana's Sunday night Church, where male dancers are on hand to help heal your soul.
No matter your fancy, for a good time, you can always call on the Short North.
