The Surly Girl Saloon is the place to go when you have a vigorous appetite for foods that seem to say “Here, feast on something feisty!” With an array of menu items ranging from the famed Frito Pie and Hell Salad to the Tomato, Bacon, and Avocado Pizza and dessert cupcakes like Chocolate Cayenne, Surly Girl can satisfy any craving. Co-owner Carmen Owens has cast Surly Girl as a restaurant that cooks up heaping helpings of comfort food made with love and served with a side of sass.

Sass does indeed find its way into the fare.  And the bar serves its own degree of sass with a selection of drinks that can’t be found just anywhere.  Come to Surly Girl for cocktails and you might just be tempted to try one of their quality organic wines as well. Beers on draught include Pabst Blue Ribbon, Miller High Life, and dozens of premium microbrews.

The Surly Girl Saloon also hosts Open Mic Comedy Night with Sean Somerville every Wednesday at 10p and Punk Rock Aerobics every Tuesday from 6:30-8p. The kitchen stays open all the while. Hours are 11a-2a seven days a week, which leaves plenty of time to pop in for lunch or dinner or to catch some evening drinks with friends.
