Learn about Dia de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead), a widely celebrated holiday in Mexico, at the Global Gifts Sugar Skull Workshop! Leticia Vázquez Smith will share the history and meaning behind Día de los Muertos and will lead the group in decorating sugar skulls to take home. Get creative and expand your understanding of a rich piece of Mexican culture!
THIS one day event will be held on Sunday October 10th and Sunday October 17th from 4-6pm at Global Gifts in the Short North Arts District. Participants must choose which date they will attend (provided there is available space). We will close the store early to facilitate social distancing. Limit is 12 people for this event. ALL are required to wear face masks properly covering nose and mouth. Event is not recommended for small children.
