Over the past few years, the Short North Arts District menswear scene has become noticeably more stylish as stores including Robert Mason Co., Pursuit, and Samson Men’s Emporium have joined long-standing favorites such as Tigertree, HOMAGE, and Artisan De Luxe. In addition to the latest in fashionable apparel, the District’s shops boast an impressive selection of accessories to keep guys looking fresh, as well as hobby items such as shaving sets and artisanal libation kits.
On June 30, the first-ever Life(Style) will launch. The quarterly celebration of the best in menswear and lifestyle will include expertly crafted cocktails, personal styling assistance from local experts, and prizes awarded throughout the night.
Despite its name, the brainchild of Tigertree founder and owner Josh Quinn, the event has a broader meaning. “We think style involves a lot more than the clothes on your back or the shoes on your feet,” Quinn said. “It’s the way you carry yourself, the way you get around, and can even be the sort of pen you write with. The event is designed to offer advice and community to men interested in integrating style in all aspects of their lives.”
Though he expects to see to District regulars at the event, Quinn also hopes to appeal to the guy who lives and/or works elsewhere in the capital city. “We think we are such an amazing and convenient location, and we’re hoping events like these will get people in the habit of finding more than just entertainment in the Short North Arts District,” he said. Quinn suspects employees of Downtown businesses who may not typically have time to visit the District during the workday will be pleasantly surprised by all the District has to offer during Life(Style). “It’s about building a community and showing that we have a diverse offering of menswear and men’s lifestyle stores that work together.”
Over a dozen businesses will be participating in Life(Style), including Tigertree, HOMAGE, Columbus Running Co., Artisan De Luxe, Da Levee, Robert Mason Co., Samson Men’s Emporium, TORSO, Tackma, Sole Classics, Paradise Garage, and Pursuit. In addition to drinks and personal stylists, event-goers can expect to see a cigar lounge, a putting green, an NBA Jam tournament, ping pong, and a judged faded denim contest. Motorcycle parking will be available in front of Tigertree. All are welcome to enjoy the event.
Life(Style) will be June 30, 2016, from 5:00pm – 8:30pm. For more information, click here.
