December 31 is one of the biggest nights of the year. More than just a night of revelry, New Year’s Eve is a time to look to the future, and to surround yourself with love, joy, and smiles. With our myriad restaurants, bars, and dance halls, the Short North Arts District is the place to celebrate.
Short North Stage
It there anything more classic than watching the ball drop in Times Square? This year, celebrate the New Year with the rest of the country, at the historic Garden Theater. Short North Stage will be projecting the ceremony alongside the walls of the theater this year, complete with cocktails, music, dancing, and a kiss at midnight! Get your tickets here.
Hyatt Regency Hotel
The New Year’s Eve bash at the Hyatt Regency is one of the biggest and brightest in town. With five music performance groups, room accomodations, and more, with over 70,000 square feet of dance space, it’s not hard to imagine why. For tickets, check here.
Brothers Drake Meadery
Brothers Drake, known doubly for their shows and their inventive mead cocktails, is gearing up for their annual NYE party. Ticket prices are $35 and include a lot of goodies. Entertainment for the night will be a jazz duo with Alex Burgoyne are on the stage, followed by Fo/Mo/Deep. Included treats are hors d’oeuvres as well as a drink ticket and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Reserve your spot soon, as this event sells out quickly.
To ring in the new year, Axis will be hosting a dance party with top DJs and drag entertainers until 4:00am, including well-known Vegas impersonator Derrick Berry as princess of pop Britney Spears and a fashion show by TORSO.

Camelot Cellars is bringing back the glory days this New Year’s with their Masquer-’80s party. Bring a mask, wear sequins, and get ready for some tubular tunes. There will be a runway show, appetizers, and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $35 individually and $60 for couples.

With its modern twist on classic American, New Year’s Eve at Hubbard is a fun shake up of old standards. Featuring a condensed version of their well known menu, Hubbard is also bringing on a DJ and special collection of house cocktails to keep the party going until midnight. Make your reservations now, as spaces are limited. The party will happen from 11:00pm – 2:30am.
Dance into the New Year at Danceville! This New Year’s, the District’s spot for partner dancing and more is celebrating their second annual New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball. The studio encourages embellished masks and glittery attire. Event includes hors d’oeuvres, a viewing of the ball drop, group class, student showcases, a champagne toast, and more!
Gallerie Bar & Bistro
For a more classic evening, Gallerie is putting on a showstopping dinner and drinks evening service for New Year’s. With a three-course prix fixe that would make any foodie jump for joy, Gallerie is the place to go for an indulgent night on the town. Tickets include a complimentary champagne toast at midnight, as well as live music throughout the evening.
Tai Tiki Polynesian Bar & Grill
This NYE at Tai Tiki, spend your countdown surrounded by some tasty Polynesian hors d’oeuvres, DJs spinning some tracks, and a champagne toast at midnight.
COTA will be offering extended service until 3:00am for the CBUS and Night Owl lines. Local lines will run until midnight. Use car2go to get to your destination. Call Uber, Yellow Cab of Columbus, Acme Taxi, or one of the many other taxi and car services in Columbus to catch a ride home.
