Sharon Weiss Gallery features the seventh solo exhibition by Debra Joyce Dawson. Dawson’s exhibition features recent plein air and studio landscapes and still life pieces from Ohio, Canada, India, and France, sprinkled with a few surprises and works from her “27 Dresses” series. In April, Brandt-Roberts Galleries will feature a number of new historic works recently added to the gallery. Included in this new exhibition is this dynamic modernist still life by Grete Jacobsen (Danish, 1912-1991). The work is an oil on canvas and measures 38″ x 32″ framed.

ROY G BIV Gallery presents two exhibitions that explore the imagery of identity and culture. Amy Ritter’s cutout figures challenge traditional representations of the female body, and Elizabeth Nelson’s lurid installations call attention to society’s image-saturated environment.

Studios on High Gallery

Studios on High Gallery will feature the exhibition ALL PIECES GREAT AND SMALL in April.

The exhibition will include the works of mosaic artist Beth Himsworth and found object assemblage artist Barb Swysgood. See sweeping design and intricate pieces as glass, wood, and metal come togother, often in surprising ways!

 

Rivet

This month, Rivet will feature the 17th Annual Columbus College of Art and Design, Art of Illustration Exhibition, which includes 45 chosen works. In preparation for the exhibition, CCAD annually hosts a school-wide art competition called the Art of Illustration. The competition is held in January and juried by a panel of professional local illustrators.

Paul Palnik Cartoon Studios exhibits the work of artist and cartoonist, Paul Palnik. Works date from 1978 to the present. Limited-edition, pencil-signed and numbered prints, original drawings, books, and paintings will be available for purchase.

Joss Parker is a contemporary artist based in Columbus. Born in Santa Cruz, CA, on New Year’s Day in 1979, Parker is part of the group of artists, such as KAWS, Banksy, Shepard Fairey, and Mr. Brainwash, dedicated to celebrating the ongoing evolution of contemporary culture through the use of imagery often derived from commercial advertising, cartoons and comics.
