When is Gallery Hop?

Gallery Hop is the first Saturday of the month, from 1:00pm to 8:00pm, every month of the year. In 2015, the Short North Arts District celebrated 30 years of Gallery Hop, which began as a collective art opening and continues to be one of the most anticipated monthly arts events in Columbus.

What activities are there to do?

Check out the Event Calendar for weekly happenings at District businesses. Shop for clothes, gifts, and more; dine at one of the many restaurants; view and collect art in the galleries; and receive excellent service at a salon, tailor, and more. Experience fun activities such as candle-making, mead-tasting, and beauty workshops explained on the DIY Workshops & Educational page, or sign up for a walking art tour, local libation-maker tour, or food tour on the Tastings & Tours page.

When are businesses open?

Each business is independently owned and operated, with their own business hours. Core business hours are between 12:00pm to 5:00pm, with many locations open earlier or later. Visit the individual business pages for more specific information on hours of operation.

Where can I stay?

The neighborhood has a variety of lodging options. Enjoy your stay in a cozy bed and breakfast, a full-service hotel, or an arts boutique hotel with the Short North Arts District outside your door. For more information, visit Lodging & Hotels.

What is HighBall Halloween?

HighBall Halloween is the nation’s most elaborate costume party. Staged in the fashion capital of Columbus, this yearly event for the Halloween season bridges runway style with the culture of the Short North Arts District. Be a part of the HighBall Halloween street spectacle and model yourself on High Street. At HighBall Halloween, you are what you wear.

HighBall Halloween occurs on the weekend prior to Halloween, and is scheduled for Saturday, October 23, 2021.
