Nationally known artists Sharon Meyer and Duncan McClellan exemplify the extraordinary artistry, craftsmanship, and unique expression in their fields. Meyer’s collection transforms the Earth’s treasures into majestic jewelry that harmonize with the wearer, and McClellan uses bold, stylized icons to depict nature while evoking emotional responses.

Sharon Weiss Gallery will be featuring Linda Langhorst for the month of August. The exhibition will run until August 31.

The exhibition will include oil paintings of musicians in New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville, Chicago, and Columbus as well as landscapes from the train called City of New Orleans. Ms. Langhorst’s work has been featured at Sharon Weiss Gallery for over a decade.

Sculptures, Drawings & Pastels in the Summertime takes a journey of endless color and destination in Columbus this summer through the eyes of pastel portrait artist Sandy Reddig.

The sculptures and drawings of Bill Meyer are inspired by man’s continual struggle between good and evil, love and hate, right and wrong. Bill is also inspired by the magical and mystical forces science cannot seem to explain.

 

Brandt-Roberts Galleries

Brandt-Roberts Galleries is featuring recent works by painter Matteo Caloiaro, Autumn on High Street, and works by artist Jessica Summers.

Jessica Summers is a new artist to Brandt-Roberts Galleries and a recent Master in Fine Art from Bowling Green State University. Her large-scale work titled Any Given Sunday will be displayed in the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition in August.

ROY G BIV Gallery presents two exhibitions exploring the landscape. Laurie Ihlenfield creates expansive landscape installations with crochet, embroidery and paint. Aaron Troyer paints multi-faceted realms with layers of watercolor, gouache and ink washes.

Lindsay Gallery is featuring It’s Only Natural with Robert Falcone and Nancy Josephson.

In the tradition of Mise en abyme and Tromp l’oeil, this series of paintings by Columbus artist Robert Falcone portrays medicinal weeds as classic botanical illustrations. The plants are beautiful, often edible and helpful for a variety of therapeutic purposes.

Nancy Josephson has spent much of her life mining whimsical, beautiful, and often controversial subjects. As an artist, author, and musician, Nancy traverses the world of spirits and secular subjects.

pm gallery is featuring Summer Safari and Other Vacations. The multiple media and collage works by Columbus artist Vicki Moon Spiegel will be shown from August 2 through September 30. Years working as the graphic artist at the Columbus Zoo still influences Ms. Spiegel’s work as animals, wild, domestic, and imaginary, populate her work. She incorporates bones, beads, found objects, fused and slumped glass, plaster, and more in her latest collection.

For August, artists Cody Heichel and Chelstin Ross will exhibit WATERCOLORS at Marcia Evans Gallery.

Cody Heichel is a young, local, contemporary watercolor artist. His atmospheric paintings focus on capturing the mood and movement of each subject and environment and display amazing reflections.

Chelstin Ross is an emerging, young contemporary watercolorist and part-time ABA therapist and art educator. Inspired by color patterns found in nature and science, her work explores color relationships and challenges the traditional application and properties of watercolor.
