The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) links people and places in central Ohio, providing public transportation to jobs, education, healthcare, shipping, entertainment and cultural destinations. With a service area of 1.2 million residents, COTA provides more than 18 million passenger trips per year, and employs more than 1,000 people. COTA operates throughout Franklin County and in parts of Delaware, Licking, and Union counties.
COTA’s Line 1 (Kenny/Livingston), Line 2 (E. Main St/N. High St), Line 2L (N. High St (limited stop service)), and Line 5 (W. 5th Ave/Refugee) all serve the Short North Arts District. COTA’s CBUS®, a FREE Downtown circulator, also operates in the Short North Arts District running North and South on High Street from the Short North to the Brewery District.
