The Short North C-pass is back and better than ever for 2023!
In summer 2022, COTA teamed up with the Short North Alliance to develop the Short North C-Pass Pilot Program, which offered monthly fixed-route COTA access to those who work in the Short North. We’re thrilled to announce the return of this exciting program launching June 2023.
With the Short North C-Pass, you’ll enjoy exclusive access to monthly fixed-route COTA rides, making your daily journeys a breeze, whether you’re headed to work, exploring local hotspots, or simply enjoying the vibrant energy of the Short North Arts District!

The Short North C-pass program is a partnership between COTA and the Short North Alliance that provides exclusive access to monthly fixed-route COTA rides for individuals that work and live in the Short North Arts District.
This year, the Short North C-Pass is all virtual, therefore you will not see any funds in your account. Rather, the pass is associated with your account and you simply scan the QR code via the transit app. It’s that easy!
Eligibility for the program is typically limited to individuals who work and live within the Short North Arts District. Specific eligibility criteria may be provided during the enrollment period.

No! Participation in the program is typically offered at no cost to eligible individuals working and living in the Short North Arts District.
This year, the Short North C-Pass is all virtual, therefore you will not see any funds in your account. Rather, the pass is associated with your account and you simply scan the QR code via the transit app. If customers have existing funds in your account, they will not lose any funds that they currently have on their COTA account. Funds in a COTA account roll over each month and never expire.
