Become an LGBTQ Foster Parent!

6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Franklin County is currently facing a serious influx of children entering the system because of abuse, abandonment or neglect. Unfortunately many of our youth are lingering in shelters and group homes because there is a lack of quality, loving caregivers. Come and learn more about the many benefits of becoming a foster parent or a mentor and hear how YOU or someone you know can help a child in need.

We welcome guest speaker Candelaria (Candy) Mota who represents the National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) and is currently the Assistant Director of the Center for Adolescents and Families. Candy has nearly 12 years of child welfare experience.

The National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) was established in Ohio in 1978. We pride ourselves in Caring for People, Connecting Communities and Promoting Piece. We are currently in seven other states and serve as advocates for America’s most vulnerable population: children. For more information on NYAP please visit our website at: www.nyap.org or contact Candy Mota directly at: cmota@nyap.org ; 614-506-9930.
