Join Nina West as she creatively takes you into the life of Howard Ashman, American playwright and lyricist.
Howard collaborated musically on the Disney animated feature films The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin. He also directed and wrote the book and lyrics to Little Shop of Horrors. His successful and celebrated career was cut short in 1991 when he succumbed to complications from AIDS; he died at the age of 40.
Nina West is a national sensation and Columbus’s premier entertainer as a drag queen, actor, comedian, and activist. She was selected as National Entertainer of the Year in 2008 and Columbus Alive’s People to Watch in 2013.
