Brandt-Roberts Galleries is pleased to present “Columbus Illuminated,” a solo exhibition by Ohio-based contemporary impressionist Mark Gingerich. The artist’s atmospheric paintings have received national acclaim for their exquisite technique and unexpected, yet familiar, subject matter. This new body of work presents over 20 paintings that reveal glimpses of Columbus city life. Continuing his mastery in the medium of oil paint, Gingerich captures a single, passing moment in time: the sun rising on Broad Street, a view of High Street at dusk and the glittering Columbus skyline against the dark of night. He garnered inspiration from locales such as Schiller Park in German Village, Franklin Park Conservatory, the Whetstone Park of Roses and the Topiary Park.
