Winter/Spring 2018 Preview

Long before The Godfather, Francis Ford Coppola wrote and directed Dementia 13, a gothic horror tale complete with a creepy Irish castle, a contested inheritance, and an ax murderer running amok. Produced by B-movie legend Roger Corman, the film features William Campbell, Luana Anders, and Patrick Magee. The program also includes the original seven-minute prologue intended to determine if the audience was fit to see the film! (76 mins., 4K DCP)

Screening first is Sophia Coppola’s debut film Lick the Star, about a group of high school girls who plot against the school’s boys with a little inspiration from the novel Flowers in the Attic. Peter Bogdanovich has a cameo as the school’s principal. (16 mins., 4K DCP)

Dementia 13 and Lucky Star restored by American Zoetrope.
