Join author Nita Sweeney as she discusses her memoir, Depression Hates a Moving Target: How Running with My Dog Brought Me Back from the Brink.

At 49, a chronically depressed and grief-stricken Nita Sweeney saw a social media post from a high school friend about running. Intrigued, Sweeney leashed up her yellow Labrador retriever, laced up her running shoes, picked up a digital kitchen timer, and set out to run for sixty-second intervals. Depression Hates a Moving Target chronicles Sweeney’s couch-to-marathon story and her experience using exercise to manage anxiety, depression, and mania. Nita also publishes Write Now Newsletter and blog Bum Glue. Join her for a book talk and Q&A about writing, running, and mental health. Books will be available for sale and signing.
