Doo Dah Parade + Party

10:00 am - 7:00 pm

Dare to join irreverent self-styled satirists, partygoers, and overall lost souls in the 33rd Annual Doo Dah Parade on the Fourth of July. Sure, you can see politicians waving American flags in just about any run of the mill Independence Day parade. But politicians being required to poke fun at themselves and wear a funny hat? You’ll have to go to the annual Doo Dah Parade on July 4th in the Short North Arts District of Columbus to see that. The Doo Dah parade shows sarcasm at its finest and celebrates liberty & lunacy. This year, the Less-Than-Grand Marshal is 52nd Mayor of Columbus, Former Mayor Michael B. Coleman.

There’s no entry fee and no registration required. Visit their website for entry rules. Line up at noon, with the National Anthem at 1:00pm. The parade steps off at 1:01pm.  Make sure to stop at the parade party with free admission and live music from 10:00am to 7:00pm at the corner of High Street and Buttles Avenue.
