In Faces, Mr. Meyer explores the range of expressions and aspects of being human – the different phases of life, different moods, attitudes and feelings. The artist worked from hundreds of sketches and stacks of sketchbooks to create an autobiographical expository spanning decades. From these sketches, a select few were refined and developed– resulting in finished drawings, paintings, digital images and sculpture.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ever since Mr. Meyer can remember, he would sit somewhere, sketching something. As a child, he remembers sketching the Lone Ranger and B17s in action. He knew very early in life that creating art was going to be his passion.

Under the guidance of teacher and accomplished artist LeMaxie Glover, Bill fell in love with art making in high school. He later developed his drawing and sculpture skills at Bowling Green State University. Although most of Bill’s professional career has been in design, his passion for creating art never left. He has been represented by Studios on High Gallery since 2014.
