Part of her Breathing on Land project, which uses scuba gear and meditation as a way to focus attention on the body and our atmosphere, this new video by Hope Ginsburg is set within the famously fast tides of the Bay of Fundy in Brunswick, Canada. Four people, breathing through scuba gear, are seated in meditation on the shore, the hisses and bubbles of their breathing coming in fits and starts as the incoming tide slowly engulfs them. (7:08 mins., video)
Ginsburg participates in our Black Mountain College–inspired Location Matters panel discussion on October 18; see the inSight pages for details.
