Introduction to Calligraphy Workshop at Igloo Letterpress by Robert Mason Co.

Join us at Igloo Letterpress where Lindsey from The Hive Studio will be introducing you to the art of calligraphy. You will learn the basics of holding & understanding your pen & nib, dipping ink, practicing upstrokes & downstrokes, scribing the alphabet, & practicing your own alphabet writing style. Your kits will include (2) nibs, 1 nib holder, ink well + black (& a colored) ink, notepad & practice papers & a resources sheet in a nice, wooden tray box made here in the USA. Robert from Robert Mason Co. will join us to share about the calligraphy supplies and materials available from his Short North store for your future creative adventures. At the end of the class, everyone will learn how to manipulate your calligraphed designs into files to use in letterpress printing and graphic design, and will pull a letterpress calligraphy print to take home.
