Short North Stage opens its 2015-16 Season with A Little Night Music, the bewitching Stephen Sondheim musical based on the Ingmar Bergman film, Smiles of a Summer Night. Winner of four Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Set in 1900 Sweden, A Little Night Music explores the tangled web of affairs centered on actress Desirée Armfeldt and the men who love her. “Heady, civilized, sophisticated and enchanting,” wrote the New York Times. Its lush score features the haunting “Send in the Clowns.”
