Meditation: Befriending the Mind
2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
In discussions of meditation the mind is often seen as an enemy – something to be made silent, conquered or gotten rid of. In a non-dual way of experiencing meditation, nothing is unwelcome and everything has its place. Marcia spent many years trying to silence her mind and is now trying another approach – one that is kinder and compassionate to all parts of herself, including her often active mind. In this workshop she will share her insights and strategies for a satisfying meditation practice and will include several meditation experiences to give students opportunities to integrate her suggestions. No meditation experience is necessary to attend this workshop. Those who struggle with meditation are especially encouraged to come.
