MODE is an international gathering of educators, students, and practitioners who specialize in the field of motion design. Hosted at Ohio State, the third MODE Summit is a conference designed to encourage an exchange of ideas on how motion design will continue to impact brand building, interface and interaction design, data visualization, TV and film title design, and visual storytelling. Through a series of presentations and discussions, attendees help shape the professional, theoretical, and educational aspects of this growing profession.
Keynote speakers for the conference include Dan Boyarski, professor and director of alumni relations in the School of Design at Carnegie Mellon University, and Christopher Pullman, professor at Yale University’s School of Art and former vice president for design at WGBH, Public Broadcasting, Boston. Their presentations at the Wexner Center will be complemented by Rebecca Ussai, a UX design director for R/GA, and Playerium, a multicultural video game company credited with some of the biggest titles in the industry.
