Lemongrass Gallery will host the artist’s opening reception of NONOBJEX – Art by Scott Steelman and will feature live jazz by the Nonobjex Orchestra. Meet the artist at the reception while enjoying drinks and the Modern-Asian cuisine of Lemongrass Fusion Bistro.
NONOBJEX is collection of abstract, non-representational or non-objective paintings and prints by Scott Steelman. The collection also includes large collage works that Steelman refers to as “paste-up paintings.”
The Nonobjex Orchestra features Michael Cox on woodwinds, Terry Douds on bass, Paul Richards on drums, John Battle on vocals, Doug Neel on guitar and trombone, and the artist himself either on keyboards or conducting with a paint brush.
The exhibition will continue through December 31, 2016.
