Chasing Masters: Mark Bush and Dennison Griffith from August 25 through October 1 at Hammond Harkins Galleries.
This exhibit of works by Dennison Griffith, the former President of the Columbus College of Art and Design, and Mark Bush, a CCAD alumnus, is inspired by The Great Masters. Included are Griffith’s rarely seen figurative work and early mix-media interpretations of pages from art history texts. Inspired by the legacy of Griffith, his former mentor and friend, Bush’s new works are contemporary versions of canonical works by Johannes Vermeer, Gustave Courbet, John Singer Sargent, and others.
