Out of the Blue at Hammond Harkins Galleries

“out of the blue” is the third part of an ongoing series of works by Melissa Vogley Woods at Hammond Harkins Galleries. Woods’ first two camera-activated installations entitled, “Always” and AlwaysCMA”, were completed by the viewer at night by taking flash photographs of the work. In response, and in contrast, “out of the blue” is made in the direct sunlight, with a photographic process that invites chance and unpredictable conditions.

Hammond Harkins Galleries is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 – 4, Sundays 1 – 4. Call to make an appointment or just stop by and knock on the door.
