The Pizzuti Collection welcomes Chilean artist Patricia Dominguez for a special artist talk and preview of her large-scale video installation “Eres un Princeso”. The rich and compelling video is an investigation of Spanish horses once owned by Colombian drug lords. The work reflects upon the meanings invested in the animals as powerful possessions and remnants of a colonial past. Not only do the horses take on a quasi-mythical status thanks to their associations with a criminal culture, they are celebrated for their otherness as animals that differ due to their gait and style of presentation. Reception for artist immediately follows artist talk.
