“Resisting the Hard Edge” at Brandt-Roberts Galleries

Brandt-Roberts Galleries presents Resisting the Hard Edge, a group exhibition of eight women artists working in abstraction. The Columbus-based and national artists in this exhibition each channel aspects of their female identity using the collective style of non-objective art. This style of art intentionally uses no recognizable or observable subject matter. However, this approach in no way minimizes the intention these artists use to communicate and elicit a response to their work. Themes ranging from self-exploration, materiality and environmental awareness are presented in this collection with a variety of mediums being utilized, such as paint, collage, glass, and textiles.
