Screen on the Green is back for a spatially distanced 12th season! Pack up a chair or blanket, grab a mask, and join the Short North Civic Association on the softball field in Goodale Park (located at the corner of W. Goodale St & Dennison Ave) for a free movie under the stars, projected on a giant inflatable screen with cinema-quality sound.
September movie: Edward Scissorhands! Johnny Depp is the eponymous creation of a mad but sweet scientist, who learns the hard way just how judge-y the suburbs can be in Tim Burton’s 1990 fantasy. Co-starring Winona Ryder, Dianne Wiest, Vincent Price, and Alan Arkin. Showtime is at sunset (7:45pm).
Enjoy the film with a meal from Ajumama and gourmet ice pops from J-Pops. Free popcorn available while supplies last, courtesy of Fibonacci’s Pizzeria.
**Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, guidelines will be in place this year to help ensure a safe screening experience for all. Limited edition fabric masks handmade by Columbus designer Esther Myong Hall, with prints to match each film selection, will also be for sale.
