AiNa TuRiaga is a self-taught artist based in Columbus Ohio. She came to the US with her family 24 years ago from Manila, Philippines. She is a stay at home mom who works mostly on her art in her home studio.
Recently, AiNa has been focused on watercolor and ink, carrying only knowledge she learned from grade school. Her recent works contain animals depicting human actions, while others are greatly influenced by children’s books, like Alice in Wonderland and Red Riding Hood. She enjoys art and films created by Tim Burton, Guillermo del Torro and Hayao Miyazaki.
Am I A Monster? is a collection of both whimsical and frightening works, depicting some famous characters. This exhibition will be available through the month of October.
