Stonewall has long been a cultural center for the LGBTQ+ and allied communities, offering a wide variety of arts and entertainment events and showcasing original work by artists. Between the Walls highlights members, and the stories, of the LGBTQ+ community using the arts as a vehicle of engagement; in partnerships with local arts organizations and artists.

23rd anniversary show

Celebrate Sean Christopher Gallery’s founding in March 2002 with a diverse showcase of mixed media, ceramics, painting, installation art, works on paper, text-based art, cast iron sculpture, and cyanotype prints. Featured artists include Katherine Elizabeth Adkins, Ashley Bevington, Richard Clarahan, Hannah Fitzgerald, Erika Holycross, Greg Johnson, Phil Maneri, Christopher McCutcheon, John Joseph McCutcheon, and Kim Webb.

The series by Antonio Gonzalez-Garcia explores the psychological impacts of growing up in an unstable household, coping with the loss of childhood friends, and the effects of relocating twice, all while addressing how early trauma shapes identity and resilience. Through painted and framed narratives, it organizes and structures significant life moments, exploring themes of privacy, trust, and transparency—like a canvas without walls.

Karen LaValley (BFA The Ohio State University) is known for impressionist plein air landscapes, portraits, and still life paintings that emphasize motion, color, and expression. Her new abstract collection boldly explores these themes through complete abstraction while maintaining her signature masterful and playful brushwork.

hit the hop: happiness is…

Studios on High Gallery presents Hit the Hop, the gallery’s annual, open call, juried exhibition open to Ohio artists. The 2025 theme is Happiness Is…. Artists were invited to submit work that best interprets the themes of happiness and peace of mind, expressed through the things they see and experience.

Kerry Boganwright is a Columbus, Ohio-based ceramic artist whose practice bridges the realms of pottery and sculpture. Drawing inspiration from material culture, texture, and the interplay between form and perception, Boganwright’s work explores themes of ambiguity and transformation.

AfterGlow is a projection mural series displaying dynamic digital artwork in the Short North Arts District. The mural series, projected on the south-facing exterior wall at 937 N. Discover a vibrant mural that challenges perceptions and invites viewers to question reality. Located on the Goodale cap, this 1,280 sq. ft. work by nine local artists is a must-see for its bold and thought-provoking design.

This 625 sq. ft. tile mosaic, composed of 400,000 bespoke glass tiles, celebrates the idea of community, drawing inspiration from the poem Hymn by A.R. Ammons. Located on the east-facing exterior of Parkside on Pearl.
