Summer Spray is a collaborative mural-making event that will showcase the live creation of a dynamic 1,300-square-foot mural wall over the span of the summer.
meet Sarah Summers
About the Artist
Sarah Summers is a pop surrealist visual artist, entrepreneur, and advocate for the arts. Born in sunny, southern Florida, she currently creates in Columbus, Ohio, after training in illustrative design and fine arts at the Columbus College of Art & Design. She specializes in using acrylic, watercolor, printmaking, and found objects to create mixed media paintings, murals, and surface designs.
Nature has always been her first inspiration, as evidenced by her romantic renditions of botanicals, animals, and celestial bodies accompanying ethereal figures. She hopes her work will encourage the viewer to develop a deeper connection with nature, inspire collective social change, and promote a sense of belonging in our evolving reality.
Education
BFA in Illustration, minor Fine Arts, from the Columbus College of Art & Design.
