12 Lincoln is a curated art book store featuring art books pre-owned by art collectors in excellent condition, as well as a consistent rotation of works from Sharon Weiss Gallery artists. The store recently opened in the Short North Arts District just a couple doors down from Sharon Weiss Gallery on East Lincoln Street. We spoke with owner Sharon Weiss about the idea behind 12 Lincoln, their exciting collaboration with another Columbus book store, and more.
How did the idea to open 12 Lincoln come about?
I opened 12 Lincoln because it was the perfect space to showcase art. I then decided to share my love for art books too.
You recently announced a partnership with Upper Arlington-based bookstore Cover to Cover Books for Young Readers; what has that been like so far and why is it important?
My collaboration with Cover To Cover children’s book store is the best! They are bringing to 12 Lincoln an impressive and excellent selection of art books for young readers and the young readers’ parents. Customers are also loving the cozy Cover To Cover book nook!
In what ways is 12 Lincoln different from other art galleries and shops?
12 Lincoln is a unique experience of art, curated new and slightly used art books, new children’s art books, and all things fun for the art enthusiast!
What are you most looking forward to for the future of 12 Lincoln?
As times become less challenging, 12 Lincoln will look forward to hosting engaging art discussions with artists, art collectors, and authors of art books in the beautiful back courtyard on Lincoln Street.
How is 12 Lincoln providing a Short North Safe experience for guests?
