FEBRUARY GALLERY HOP EXHIBITIONS

Brandt-Roberts Galleries

Join Brandt-Roberts Galleries as the gallery introduces artist Gabriel Pozzo with a feature in February. Gabriel’s oil paintings present a contemporary slant on figure painting and domestic scenes. The artist presents partially clothed figures rendered in a Classical style, but they often take on a Surrealist or dream-like feel, as they hover above a mattress or are swathed in blue. He also depicts remnants of daily life, such as empty, unmade beds, that allow us to view the everyday through a new, more intimate lens. Gabriel’s feature is on view in the gallery from February 5 through 27.

Brandt-Roberts Galleries will also host a joint reception for artists Gabriel Pozzo and Dylan Graves on Saturday, February 5 from 7 p.m. to  9 p.m. Dylan’s feature, titled “CHROME” is on view in the gallery through February 6. Brandt-Roberts Galleries will be open from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on during the February Gallery Hop.

Cynthia Kaufman-Rose “Love Songs” is an exhibition that chases after what, in essence, is beyond reach. Luminous metallics seek to capture aerial mist and shimmering skies. Translucent layers and subtle color obscure and reveal penciled, fading love songs and poetic verse. Glittering fragments of gold, silver and glass, evoke reflections on water and glints of light.

“Love Songs” will be on view from Feb. 6 through Feb. 28. Marcia Evans Gallery will be open during the February Gallery Hop from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
