The Short North Arts District April Gallery Hop will be held virtually via Instagram! On Saturday, April 4 at 4:00pm, viewers can tune in to “Columbus’ favorite night of the month to celebrate art” by following  @ShortNorthArtsDistrict on Instagram. Virtual Gallery Hop participants will include Short North Arts District galleries, local retailers, as well as special performances from some of Gallery Hop’s favorite performers.

Gallery Hop, which is traditionally celebrated with new gallery exhibitions, artist talks, live art demonstrations, artisan street vendors, street performers, and more from local businesses, will still maintain many of the event’s key components as it goes virtual. Art lovers will get to view the latest works and exhibitions, and learn more about the artists currently being featured at Short North galleries. Local retailers will feature first looks at new spring styles, product demos, and try-ons. Many galleries and boutiques will offer the ability to inquire and purchase art and goods directly online.

The April Virtual Gallery Hop will highlight some of Gallery Hop’s star performers, including KaTanya Ingram, Scottie G, and more. Viewers can also catch the Stay Away From Each Other Get Together Car “Parade”, put on by the Short North Civic Association and Mz. Doo Dah, which will make its way through the District starting at 1pm.

Virtual Gallery Hop participants include local galleries Brandt-Roberts Galleries, Hammond Harkins Galleries, Lindsay Gallery, Marcia Evans Gallery, (Not) Sheep Gallery, Sarah Gormley Gallery, Sean Christopher Gallery Ohio, Sharon Weiss Gallery, Found at Sharon Weiss Gallery, 24 Lincoln Street Studios, Sherrie Gallerie, and Studios on High Gallery. Retailer participants include Clover On High, Glean, Global Gifts, Happy Go Lucky, Jolie Occasions, Magnolia Thunderpussy, Prologue Bookshop, Red Giraffe Designs, Rowe Boutique, Small Talk, Sole Classics, Tigertree, and Vamp Official, with more to join. Additionally, grab dinner or a snack from a Short North restaurant while you follow along.
