Hop at Home for the Short North Arts District August Gallery Hop! Columbus’ favorite day of the month to celebrate art will continue virtually primarily via the @ShortNorthArtsDistrict Instagram Story, as well as on the Short North Arts District Facebook Page. The August Virtual Gallery Hop will feature a sneak peek at the latest artwork for sale, artist stories, and more from local galleries; new products and promotions from other local businesses; and virtual performances from some of Gallery Hop’s favorite musicians.
Select art galleries and other businesses will also be open to the public, with many offering private appointments in addition to virtual options. Customers should contact businesses directly to determine current operating hours and procedures. Visitors to the District on Aug. 1 can also view the in-progress creation of the all-new mural wall, Summer Spray, as artist Hakim Callwood creates his section of the 1,280 square-foot wall located on W. Goodale St. between Park and High St. Visitors can also view the latest iteration of the Short North Arts District Mural Series, One World, and discover other public art throughout the area via the Short North Arts District Art Trail, a public art and arts walking guide hosted by Experience Columbus.
