will feature self-taught artist Michael Owens. Born outside of Seattle, Owens grew up on military bases, eventually settling in western Colorado. The outsider artist would later join the Army himself and was stationed in Germany. He eventually settled in Columbus and began painting in 2000. Honing in on acrylic, his work offers explosive uses of color in both massive abstract and unapologetic strokes of pop art. Inspired by the masterful works of Lichtenstein and Warhol, his work finds itself playing a climactic game of tongue-in-cheek.
